Privacy Policy

Mike Edwards Architecture values and respects the privacy of the people we deal with and is committed to protecting your privacy according to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and other applicable privacy laws and regulations.

The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

What is Personal Information, why and how do we collect it?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect include names, job titles, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers.

Examples of how we may collect Personal Information include meetings, interviews, Mike Edwards Architecture events, correspondence by phone, email and online, via our website, from media and publications, from other publicly available sources, and from third parties. We do not guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you and for marketing. Your Personal Information may be used for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose such as liason with specialist consultants, contractors and relevant authorities.

You can unsubscribe from our mailing or marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.

In some circumstances we are provided with information by a Third Party, in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure you are made aware of the information provided to us by the Third Party.

Security of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from loss and misuse, from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

When your Personal Information is no longer required for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to and maintenance of your Personal Information

You have a right to access the Personal Information we hold about you to correct and/or update it. Please contact us in writing if you wish to do so. Please advise us as soon as possible if you become aware that any of your Personal Information is not current, complete or accurate so that we can update our records accordingly.

For protection of your information, identification will be required from you before releasing your requested Personal Information.
